Joe Crenshaw opened PSI which originally stood for Pressroom Supply, Inc. This small company converted printing blankets from roll material in specific sized printing blankets used in offset and web printing applications.
The process included pressing aluminum extrusions called blanket bars on 2 ends of the blanket material. These blanket bars are used to lock down the blanket onto the printing press. Joe’s dedication to producing quality products and providing the best customer service set up PSI for its future rapid growth.
PSI Built a new building to house it’s first extrusions press designed and manufactured in-house to produce tight tolerance extrusions for our own internal need.
The first billet was pushed on our 2.5” press for printing industry in September of 1988.
PSI obtained ISO Registration. One of the first aluminum extrusion company’s to do so.
New Building addition built to house new automated 5.125” 1050 Ton Extrusion press and our 3.5” 525 Ton Press.
New Anodizing Line purchased and installed to support PSI’s growth thru vertical integration.
350′ Conveyor Style Powder Coating Line Installed.
Mr Crenshaw retired and sold PSI to Mr. Mioc. 100% of PSI is privately held by Mr. Mioc. PSI relocated it’s Corporate office and CNC machining and assembly to Carrollton, TX.
PSI Purchased a larger Corporate office in Las Colinas, TX will have more square footage for additional CNC Machining space.
Kyle Coates becomes President of PSI.
PSI Invested in an Instant Measuring Profile Inspection Machine for its Quality Lab.
PSI implemented dedicated 4 and 5 axis CNC Work cells with Robotic Loading to support growth in all industries.
